“The Leeds Met “Wellbeing” project was developed in response to some very difficult circumstances that had developed at Leeds Metropolitan University. The work John has led, has not only utilised his previous experience to help his team develop the Wellbeing programme, and consequently the Wellbeing website, but he has provided the leadership that has been the enabling factor that has allowed the University to harness the input of expertise from individuals closely associated within the University.
“It has taken understanding of the full range of variety of problems that has allowed a diverse team of interested stakeholders to bring together a programme that tackles the different managerial elements affecting working life. The Wellbeing Programme is now starting to have a real impact upon improving the well being of all the people who work and study at Leeds Metropolitan University. I can highly commend John and his team for this effort. “

“We have been delighted to be associated with the great work done at Leeds Metropolitan University on health and wellbeing. We have been impressed by their passion for this area of work and the way in which they have engaged with outside partners as well as their own staff. Their Wellbeing website is in a league of its own and has been designed with the user in mind – not always the case with such sites. We are proud to be associated with John and his team.”
Peter Barnard, Registrar, Grimsby Institute of Further & Higher Education
“A positive health and wellbeing culture can be a difficult concept to deliver in any organisation – what John has achieved at Leeds Metropolitan University in a short space of time is very impressive. Amongst other great initiatives the wellbeing website, in particular, is a fantastic resource for staff and students alike – easy to use with no complicated health jargon.”
